Critical Incident Support

Providing the appropriate support following a traumatic event is essential to the mental health and wellbeing of your team. Although some industries are more susceptible to traumatic experiences, a critical incident can occur in any workplace. Our Critical Incident Support is designed to delicately support those who have experienced or witnessed an incident, whether a death, assault, serious injury or an event specific to your team, and may include group debriefing, individual or group counselling, wellbeing checks. All critical incident requests are received and triaged immediately.

Workplace Mediation

Conflict at work can not only make things uncomfortable but can lead to psychological stress and legal ramifications. Workplace Mediation is designed to assist all parties to manage and resolve issues and create a respectful and professional work environment. Mediation involves an independent 3rd party leading structured sessions to identify and assess options and negotiate an agreement to resolve disputes while refraining from applying their thoughts, ideas, and suggestions in the resolution. A summary of the resolved matters will be provided to the employer once agreed upon by both parties.

Wellbeing Checks

Wellbeing Checks are designed to determine the psychological welfare of a team member should there be concerns.

Research shows that staff will often not disclose the true extent of their distress to their manager, so having a 3rd party check in on their mental health proves more beneficial.

The team member will be contacted by a practitioner or Lifeline/ASIST trained worker by phone, checking on their wellbeing and assessing any risk of potential harm to themselves or others.

We offer support and strategies to assist and encourage counselling sessions to receive longer term support where appropriate.

Any actions required to ensure their immediate safety may include contacting emergency services or referring the employee to external organisations for specialist assistance.

Common reasons for requesting a wellness check include:

  • death or injury of employees or their family member/s

  • unapproved and/or extended absences from the workplace

  • exacerbated mental health issues

  • challenging or distressing work events
